The Bryson Cancer Care Center

Bryson Cancer Care was founded in 2004 by oncologist and hematologist Dr. David Bryson. We provide diagnosis, treatment, and therapies for all types of cancers, with an uncompromising commitment to personalized and attentive care. The decades of experience behind our team ensures you receive the highest level of expertise and attention throughout your entire treatment journey.

Our goal is to provide the Central Valley with cancer care that utilizes the latest innovations available at university cancer centers, with an uncompromising commitment to personalized and attentive care. Our experience, credentials, on-site treatment capabilities, affiliated hospital access, and cutting-edge treatment options ensure our patients receive comprehensive and exceptional care.

Overview

Dr. Bryson is an award-winning oncologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancers, including hematologic oncology. He has been practicing Oncology and Hematology in Visalia since 2000 and founded Bryson Cancer Care in 2004, where he provides top-of-the-line cancer treatment. Bryson Cancer Care remains one of the most reputable and successful cancer treatment centers in the Central Valley.

Education & Training

Dr. David R. Bryson graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1980 and completed a 3-year Internal Medicine Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in 1984, along with a 3-year Hematology & Oncology Fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center in 1987.

Military Service

Having earned the title of Colonel Bryson in the United States Army, Dr. Bryson was deployed twice as a medical officer in support of our troops, to Kansas in 2003 and Germany in 2005. He served his country on duty for 75+ days per year as an Army Reservist until he retired in August 2007 with 30 years of service.

Commitment to Innovation

As Medical Oncology is a field that constantly yields technological and medical innovations, one of Dr. Bryson's primary focuses is to remain up to date on the latest advancements in cancer care. This is facilitated by incentivizing and funding Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants to pursue regular participation in CME programs, medical conferences, workshops, seminars, and symposiums.

Whether you are facing your first diagnosis or a recurrence of cancer, you may feel overwhelmed and hesitant about how to proceed. Let us take care of that. We have the responsibility to educate our patients about all facets of their health and treatment. Never hesitate to ask. There are no bad questions. Being well informed will make you more confident in your health and survival.

What to Bring
Bring your insurance cards, all your current medications (or a detailed list), and any medical records not already forwarded to us.

Check-In
You will check in with a medical receptionist and fill out various forms. A medical assistant will help you fill out the health questionnaire and enter your medication list in the electronic medical record.

Medical Review
Your vital signs will be checked and you will be seated in an examination room. Sometimes it is necessary to wait while the doctor is managing an emergency or assisting another patient having complications.

Your Time with Dr. Bryson
We do not want to rush patients. We give all patients the full time they need. Be assured that your doctor will spend all the time with you that you need.
